But to ours? surprise, we have been impressed till now, and It?s hard to complain with The Jungle Book leading the pack. Director Jon Favreau has brought back life into this ancient story with a new thematic depth; he presents to us a rich and detailed world to explore. The cast of actors recruited for providing a voice to the vivid characters is universally excellent, and there is no reason not to be impressed with it. The Jungle Book features Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Bill Murray, Christopher Walken, and Ben Kingsley (a dream come true?), all playing big roles, and none showing any less enthusiasm. The Jungle Book is a powerful movie that symbolizes what to expect from Disney in the days to come.

When Boyhood was released in 2014, there were mixed opinions, a huge group of people who believed that it is the best movie of the year and another pretty intense backlash which labelled it ?overrated and overlong.? Watching the characters in the movie age is not what you often get, every other movie you watched used some special effects or cast multiple actors for the same role to present their ageing.
Though the story is not that jaw-dropping or that heart-pinching, the sight of someone growing up will make you emotional, must probably nostalgic. Of all the achievements of Linklater, possibly he will be best remembered for his powerful depiction of time in this movie. Boyhood is intense in such a natural way that the weighty themes of the storyline feel complacent and effortless and It might make you sob for reasons you don’t know. Initially, the movie might seem underwhelming, because the story of this boy Mason is not extraordinary special, and there are no major twists or revelations either. But the beauty of this movie is that the moments here are not commented, they are just observed, the spirit is generous, there?s no melodrama like in soap-opera, there?s just a casual flow with time. By the time the movie ends, Mason will still be living his life, and there will be no grand resolutions. The Graduate is one of the funniest movies for all the free spirit and point of view shown not because of obvious sight gags, punchlines, and other trite rubbish most comic movies proudly presents. Mike Nichols, the director, stays on top of his materials; he never stops to make sure if the viewers are getting the point and he never apologizes. Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow is a notorious alcoholic Pirate cum Rockstar in this movie and he simply steals this show (of course, the lock, stock and who could forget that two floating barrels), but Geoffrey Rush as Hector Barbossa is another character that was front and center in the movie. The film delivers hilariously mumbled one-liners combined with the playful sword-play and one of the most glaring zombie effects seen till date which makes the movie eternally watchable. Gore Verbinski?s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is grand not only regarding sword fights and the top-notch cast but also the plot is honestly brilliant, and you will feel like you have had one of your best adventures of two-and-a-half-hour.
Captain Jack Sparrow arrives without a ship or crew at Port Royal in the Caribbean but at an inopportune time, for a pirate ship besieging the town later in that evening. These pirates captured Elizabeth (Keira Knightley), the daughter of the governor because she possesses a valuable coin which is linked with a curse of transforming the pirates into the undead. A brave blacksmith Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) who is in love with Elizabeth join forces with Sparrow to pursue the pirates.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl sweeps the viewers into a quest unlike any other through a gorgeous damsel in distress, a spunky rogue as her saviour, and a different unit of bloodthirsty swashbucklers to provide the aura.

If you are in a mood for a complete feel-good movie, then you don?t have to go any further because here is a film with perfect such atmosphere ? Sing Street. The plot is set in the 80s where the Director and Screenplay writer John Carney follows an Irish boy who forms a band just to impress a girl. In their journey of writing original music, they cover the broad trends of that decade ? with songs which sound like Duran Duran and like The Cure. Sing Street is a story about young love and finding out who you are without separating oneself from the harsh realities of life. The songs in here are genuinely great, and the performances are incredible (you cannot miss Lucy Boynton in here).
It also represents the musical environment in the 80s where you Rock n Roll was a risk, a risk of being ridiculed, and this perfectly describes the scenario for a sweet and spirited dramedy like this. You will watch this movie once but will come back again, just for the songs which will further establish rock n roll as a religion. The ending of the movie is very remarkable, and if you can watch this movie without smiling then, I am afraid to break this out to you that you don?t have a heart. Sorry!

A group of relatives and old friends reunites for a vacation in northern Iran where one of them brings a new person Elly hoping that she would marry Ahmad, one of the friends. Zootopia may look like another humanized animal adventure is rather more vivid and sharper with an idea on class and race in America (don?t you think it has been more of a hot topic recently?). The movie is adorable and filled with lively reimagination of tender friendships, sloth jokes, and pop music interludes.
Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin), the first rabbit in the police force, quickly digests how hard it is to implement the law in Zootopia, the mammal metropolis. Because she had to prove herself, she jumps at the chance to solve a weird case but unfortunately for her (and luckily for us), she had to work with Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), a clever fox who makes this job even harder. Their journey together represents every public conversation that we are having at the recent times, and that is why this movie is so heavy. At a time when animal stories have been thought to have lost their charm, Disney dared to defy this with a vibrant and diverse universe of Zootopia for tackling the racial and biased issues of the modern world; the movie is entertaining as well as thought-provoking. Pliable kids and progressive adults will both take away something from this funny and gorgeous movie.

Darren Aronofsky, the director, is known for his many talents, but what he has shown through Requiem for a Dream is that he is also magnificent at putting together the throbbing and powerful sequences in the movie that are acute enough to give the viewers a nervous breakdown. An obsession drives the characters in here, and following them on this story can be a harrowing experience. Requiem for a Dream is all about the drug addiction and devastating effects it can have on our psyches and our bodies. Jared Leto (you know the Joker? Yes, right, there can be only one Joker, and you all know who I am talking about), and Jennifer Connelly are good in their roles of drug-addicted couples, but Ellen Burstyn nails her role as the mother; a prisoner in her apartment and someone who is cut in between her diet pills (you may also observe that she is addicted to the TV and sugar, however.) ? her performance is absolutely electric, haunting, and unforgettable.
Aronofsky uses the camera to fascinatingly capture how the characters see things, and this is very much comparable to Hitchcock, where it is not only important to show us the things but also to deny the others. At one moment, we are thrust into subjective state and immediately in the next moment; we are plunged back to objectivity by a cold splash of reality. Requiem for a Dream is a movie to be watched, you may have been told that it is a film which you can handle to watch only once, but Nah, there is so much awesome filmmaking in here that you can always have an immense pleasure by revisiting the misery shown here.

When everything was just going right for the grandparents who wanted the custody, a heartbreak nightmare strikes them.
